Open call for submissions 2020
homebase is now accepting exhibition submissions for our 2020 programming. This open call has no constraints as far as medium and context of work being submitted, however we do have some guidelines below.

Artist(s) submitting must be located in the Pacific Northwest (Oregon, Washington, Idaho)
Artist(s) must be able to attend the opening and any events associated with the exhibition.
Artist(s) must be emerging to early-career artists.
Work shown must be new or never been shown work (few exceptions made).
Proposed exhibitions must either be solo exhibitions or two-person show submissions; unfortunately, we cannot accommodate group shows in our space at this time.
Exhibition concept must include a mural component and installation in the gallery space.
Exhibitions run between 6-8 weeks.
Submission fee $10. Please send your submission fee to us via PayPal at email@example.com. However, please reach out to us if this fee poses a concern for you!
Submissions must include the following information
Have a clear theme/objective for the exhibition.
Artist statement & Bio/CV.
Include 5-10 images of work to be shown or examples of old work and how it relates to the current body of work you’re making.
Please attach a Dropbox or Google link to access images of work you would like to showcase or recent work if you are producing new content for this show. Please label each file with your last name and title of the work.
Include any relevant information about the pieces which you are submitting, including materials, date of creation, relevance to the overall theme and vision of your practice.

Other details to mention
Artist(s) are responsible for all costs associated with creating their work.
The gallery will provide refreshments for openings and cover all costs associated with gallery prep costs.
If an artist(s) is/are selling works, the pieces to be offered for purchase will be at the discretion of artists included in the exhibition. Artists will receive 60% of the purchase value on works sold and 40% will be retained as commission by homebase.
All publications made in conjunction with the exhibition, unless otherwise noted or determined will be published and funded by the gallery, and 100% of profits will be returned to the gallery.
Artist must promote their show on social media prior to the show opening.
Artist(s) must be able to sign of consent form to agree to all above.
All applications will be reviewed. All artists will be notified of the outcome of their application.
We do not accept submissions in person, email, or Instagram.
